The trip was exciting from the start. From the air we could see yachts with scuba divers. World famous diving areas. When we arrived at the villas, we were escorted into a beautifully designed and decorated lobby where the concierge was welcoming with a big smile, she knew our names, of course. We toured the main areas, the exquisite dining area, the boutique, luxurious rooms, the bar with a commanding view of the sea, the vivid art, then we walked over the grounds, the tennis court even has a view of the seas and the mountains. The owners have spent many hours designing the amazing gardens with flowers blooming and fragrant. There are several rooms built on the tiered property, separate entrances, individual villas, private and yet easily accessible. In looking at many resorts over the years, we have found that you can easily look at walls and windows to see how well built a property is. This one is a winner. The owner has thought of so many things which are important in the profitability of a resort. Access to water, cisterns which stay almost full, it is really interesting how cisterns work, and this owner has utilized the location, setting and access in a unique and trend setting way, thus lowering the expense of purchasing water. We laughed and relaxed. The breeze coming off the sea was so light but yet like velvet. Did we enjoy this trip? A definite yes. And we remember the friendliness of the local people, the uniqueness of the homes, the culture, the eco friendly travelers we met. This island is filled with treasures-plants/flowers/butterflies,  still being discovered. The island was recently featured in Caribbean magazines. The environment is being studied here and is being preserved by intelligent and caring people. There is still a place where you can go, where you will feel how lucky we are to have clean air, scenery, swimming and diving, and an environment which is being preserved.
